Amanda's story

Amanda first met with Workskil Australia in July 2015, keen to find work to complement her part time studies in Business Administration.  Workskil Australia assisted Amanda to gain experience in a Community Magazine Work for the Dole activity brokered by Australian Work for the Dole Services. Amanda took this work on with gusto and learned a number of skills in design, writing and computers. A motivated job seeker, Amanda then re-sourced her own voluntary placement with the local Centacare Catholic Family Services Country SA office, who were glad to have Amanda return and continued to be impressed with Amanda’s work ethic and determination. Amanda was then the successful applicant of a paid position that became available. At the time of publishing, Amanda is still employed and has since been promoted into a new position with Centacare Catholic Country SA.
