Host a Project

What is a host?

Work for the dole activities can be hosted by not-for-profit organisations, charities and government organisations/agencies. While work for the Dole places cannot replace paid work positions, host organisations are asked to provide a real ‘work like’ experience for participants.

Eligible job seekers will be required to participate in work for the Dole activities. All activities offer job seekers the opportunity to:-

• develop on-the-job skills
• obtain references
• make work contacts
• be connected to the work force.

We are currently working with organisations to establish projects. Host organisations will be listed here when the project has started and the organisation is happy to be listed.

Become a host

If you are a community or government entity interested in hosting a Work for the Dole project then please contact us on 1300 739 063. Alternatively complete the form below. We can discuss project opportunities, budgets and responsibilities with you directly. Workskil will organise relevant checks, find a qualified supervisor (if required), insurance for participants and contribute to materials for the project. We can also transport participants if the Project is not near public transport.
